2023-2024

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) reaffirm its commitment to equitable education and lifelong learning by providing libraries and knowledge resources accessible to students, researchers, and the wider public. During the 2023–2024 academic year, AASTMT ensured that its libraries across Cairo, Alexandria, and El Alamein remain inclusive, well-equipped, and digitally connected, offering free access to books, periodicals, theses, and online research databases. By combining modern study spaces, advanced information systems, and extended operating hours, the libraries support academic success, professional development, and cultural enrichment.

Public Engagement with Knowledge, Culture, and Research:

  1. Reading Club Initiative – AASTMT launched the Reading Club to foster vibrant communities engaged in reading, discussion, and innovation. This initiative promotes knowledge sharing, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

 2-      Cairo International Book Fair – AASTMT actively participated in the Cairo International Book Fair to update library collections with the latest research, textbooks, and academic resources. This engagement ensures that students, faculty, and the public have access to up-to-date scientific, technical, and managerial knowledge.

3-      AASTMT–Bibliotheca Alexandrina Collaboration – Through joint initiatives, public lectures, and field visits with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, AASTMT libraries extend learning beyond campus, connecting communities to Egypt’s cultural and intellectual heritage.

  1. AASTMT Open Access Institutional Repository – The repository provides unrestricted access to thousands of theses, dissertations, and research publications, supporting open science and removing barriers to information.
