Our vision for Sports at AASTMT is to achieve the highest level of services provided in all sports activities for AASTMT students, employees and local community. This is achieved through the deployment of sports awareness and spreading sports culture among students. In a recognition of AASTMT leading role of encouraging sports in local community, Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, president of AASTMT, insists on honoring champions and athletes with disabilities. The Academy recognizes the importance of sports in building students and promoting rehabilitation. It aims to foster promising talents and strengthen relationships between different parties. The 50th edition of the Martyr Rifai course, held in Egyptian universities, began the new season of sports activity. Summer Training Camp for teams participating in the premier league
The summer 2023 training camp for sports teams featured 13 camps, providing distinguished services and facilities like playgrounds, gyms, hotels, and recovery facilities. Over 22 teams from abroad participated, with 1000 athletes and referees from the Alexandria football region. Friendly matches were held for teams camped outside the academy, and recreational trips were made for the teams. Most matches were hosted on the main academy stadium.

Swimming and Football School for the children of academy staff and the surrounding community
The AASTMT President, Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, and Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Adel Bilal, have initiated a summer school for children of workers and the surrounding community. The school is divided into two parts: swimming in the evenings and all-day games in the mornings.

Congratulations from the President of the Academy to our Olympic champion, the daughter of the Academy (Sarah Samir), the star of our national team for weightlifting, graduate of the College of International Transport and Logistics, Port Said Branch, on the occasion of her achievement: second place and silver medal for Egypt at the Paris Olympics 2024 for women’s weightlifting weighing 81 kg.
The President of the Academy is pleased to proudly announce a new achievement to be added to our distinguished alumni record, as four of the Academy’s graduates have been selected in the Forbes “30 Under 30” list for the Middle East for the year 2025; Basant Hamida (class of 2018), Sara Samir (class of 2021), Fadi Ibrahim (class of 2021) and Mustafa Abdul Latif (class of 2021)
