1-Purpose
Academic freedom is essential to achieve the mission of AASTMT. Academic freedom is the right to engage in research, scholarship and other creative work and in the publication of the results, subject to the adequate performance of the academic duties This policy ensures that Each faculty member in AASTMT is entitled to have full academic freedom in determining their research topics and in the truthful publication of the results of the research. Also, each faculty member is entitled to freedom in the classroom in discussing subject matter relevant to the subject being taught without introducing any controversial matters that are not reasonably related to the subject being taught without violation of AASTMT’s rules and regulations. Also, it clarifies that how AASTMT support its’ students by different teaching tools and techniques to be well prepared for the labor market.

This policy applied to Faculty Members, students and other decision-making bodies included in the academic governance.
3-Policy Statement
AASTMT has an ethical and legal duty to develop student’s understanding and learning through academic freedom. Academic freedom is specifically the freedom of the faculty members, Research scholars, and students in the institution to embrace the freedom to speak, write, and express thoughts without unreasonable restriction. The academic staff and the students shall be judged through established criteria for their intellectual and professional input, not on personal beliefs, and political or religious views.

5- Teaching Freedom:
5-AASTMT Academic Freedom Responsibilities
5-1 Teaching and Research: The faculty members are under obligation to fulfill their teaching and research responsibilities. The faculty members must develop and improve their scholarly capability to adhere to voluntary self-discipline and judgment in transmitting knowledge. The Faculty Members are expected to ensure the delivery of the academic content of the course and promote fundamental values of the rule of law, human liberty, mutual respect, and tolerance for those with different faiths, beliefs, and opinions.
5-2 Students: The students are entitled to fair treatment in an environment of mutual respect within the teacher-student relationship. Faculty members are not allowed to refuse to teach any student on the grounds of the student's religion, color, and belief. The faculty members shall ensure that the assessments of students reflect their true performance. Students will be provided with different effective and modern teaching tools and techniques.

APC is the publishing center of AASTMT, it has six current e-journals in different majors. APC adopting the open access model in all published journals. APC allows researchers for AASTMT to scan the journals and it clarify rules and regulations for publishing in AASTMT.

Scientific Trip for AASTMT Students
A scientific trip was organized for the students of the college aboard the ship AYDA 4 at the port of Alexandria. During the trip, they were introduced to the navigation devices, the engine room, various parts of the ship, as well as general and personal safety equipment on board the ship.

ROSATOM and Science Festival week in Egypt at AASTMT
Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation (ROSATOM) and AASTMT partnered to host the second Science Festival Week in Egypt. The festival was part of ROSATOM's global initiative to promote science, education, and innovation, particularly regarding nuclear science and technology. This festival was arranged by ROSATOM the global leader in nuclear energy with collaboration with AASTMT to inspire the culture of innovation in research. The partnership with AASTMT is part of a larger, ongoing collaboration between ROSATOM and Egypt to train personnel for the country's nuclear industry. ROSATOM is also the main contractor for Egypt's first nuclear power plant, the El Dabaa NPP, which was featured during the festival.

The 6th International Conference on Mathematics
(ASTMT) hosted the Sixth International Conference on Mathematics and its Applications from November 30 to December 1, 2024. The conference was held at the AASTMT Smart Village Campus in cooperation with the Egyptian Mathematical Society and the National Committee for Mathematics different researchers from different foreign and Arab countries participated in it was attended by different students.

AASTMT-British Northern Consortium UK (NCUK) International MOU
This MOU allows AASTMT students to enroll in different educational programs presented by British Universities and to establish the "NCUK International Foundation Year" IFY program at the Arab Academy International Study Center (AAISC). The IFY program allows students to complete their foundation year in Egypt and then gain guaranteed entry to NCUK's network of over 50 universities worldwide, which includes top-ranked institutions in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the USA. This partnership, and not a separate 2024 MOU, facilitates academic pathways for Egyptian students to enter UK universities and other international destinations.

Moissouri State University “Certificate of Strategic Educational Partner” to AASTMT
This partnership aims to enhance cooperation between two parties in the field of education and scientific research and exchanging students and academic staff. he event was attended by officials from AASTMT, as well as representatives from IBDL Solutions and IBDL Learning Group, which help facilitate the partnership. The partnership between AASTMT and MSU aims to strengthen cooperation in education and scientific research. The collaboration includes initiatives for the exchange of students and academic staff members. This certificate formalized an existing, successful partnership between the two institutions. The AASTMT Graduate School of Business (GSB) has previously offered a dual MBA degree program in collaboration with MSU.

Scientific trip to the Port of Safaga for AASTMT Students
In order to link the AASTMT academic education and the study process with the practical life, the department of cultural and social activities organized a trip for engineering and marine students to Safaga Port in Hurgada. Students learnt the mechanism of the port working and the quality of ships and cargos, and how to use technology in port management.
