Participatory bodies are fundamental to fostering meaningful stakeholder engagement. By promoting inclusivity, transparency, and collaboration, they contribute to more effective governance and a more equitable society. Also, now part from AASTMT Community and participatory bodies are the refugee’s students who continue their education in Egypt. The role of participatory bodies is increasingly recognized as vital in addressing complex social, economic, and environmental challenges.

AASTMT new Co-operational Agreements

AASTMT president signed 2 new agreements on the sidelines of the International Conference of Machine Intelligence and Smart Innovation (ICIMISI) the agreement with Cyber Security Company and Italian University. The conference serves as a digital platform for sharing research advancements and developments in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

AASTMT and the Sudanese Ahfad University Protocol of Scientific and Academic Co-operation

AASTMT will support the refugees Sudanese students who are students in Ahead University through signing cooperation protocol. The protocol aims to strengthen collaboration and communication between the two institutions in areas of mutual interest. The agreement focuses on activating scientific cooperation, particularly involving the Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy at AASTMT.

AASTMT supports and guarantees students who their countries are face wars, violent actions, and arranged crimes, AASTMT received some Sudanese Refugees students to study in it in Egypt.

College of Fisheries and Aquaculture Technology Session “Journey of Development and Excellence”

This session is part of a broader effort by CFAT to promote student excellence and innovation. The college regularly holds training courses, field visits, and other activities to enhance students' skills, community engagement, and prepare them for careers in the fisheries and aquaculture industry. AASTMT receives UNHCR Delegation

AASTMT President received United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees delegation at Abo Qir campus. They discussed methods of cooperation and launched an initiative under the title “The Bridge of Hope". Through this collaboration, refugees in Egypt will receive scholarships to study for bachelor’s degrees. The initiative aims to create inclusive learning environments and facilitate sustainable solutions for refugees to build a better future through education.

AASTMT and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) launched a joint initiative called "The Bridge of Hope" to empower refugees through education. To provide scholarship opportunities for refugees in Egypt to obtain a bachelor's degree at AASTMT. The launch ceremony was attended by several dignitaries and representatives from other international and local organizations, including the Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Alexandria, the European Commission, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, and the Egyptian Red Crescent Society.

The 2024 International Conference on Machine Intelligence

The 2024 IEEE International Conference on Machine Intelligence and Smart Innovation (ICMISI 2024) will provide an excellent international forum for sharing knowledge and results in the theory, methodology, and applications of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Biomedical Engineering, and Smart Innovation. The Conference looks for significant contributions and participation to all major fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in theoretical and practical aspects. AASTMT and University of Khartoum Cooperation

(AASTMT) and the University of Khartoum have an ongoing, long-standing cooperation agreement that encompasses several areas of collaboration. Areas of Cooperation:

• Hosting Examinations: In a notable recent collaboration, AASTMT hosted the final examinations for University of Khartoum students at its Heliopolis campus in Cairo from April 25 to May 11, 2024.
• Student and Faculty Exchange: The agreement includes provisions for the exchange of students and faculty members between the two institutions.
• Joint Research: Both universities collaborate on joint research initiatives to advance knowledge and solve common challenges.
• Student Training: AASTMT provides practical training opportunities for University of Khartoum students, particularly those in engineering fields, at its campuses and facilities in Egypt.
• Accommodation of Students: The cooperation also covers the accommodation of University of Khartoum students at AASTMT's campus in Cairo.
• Scientific Consultations: The institutions share expertise and provide scientific consultations in fields of mutual interest.

To promote cooperation and guarantee that a range of viewpoints are considered during the decision-making process, stakeholder involvement as participatory organizations. AASTMT can foster a more responsive and cooperative environment that is advantageous to all stakeholders by establishing participatory bodies for stakeholder engagement by:

• Participating in innovation and renewable energy campaigns
• Participating in different awareness initiatives specially for school students
• Cooperation with different authorities and organizations such Bibliotheca of Alexandria, Islamic Affairs, Ports, Port Training Institute etc,.

 TECHLOG Partner in Egypt signs Agreements 

During the opening session on October 18th, presentations from various partners' representatives included one by Dr. Sandra Haddad, Vice Dean for Scientific Research, College of International Transport and Logistics at Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) about the TECHLOG Eastern Living Lab's aims and activities, as well as explaining AASTMT's capabilities and scale in terms of the number of campuses, colleges, and simulator complexes.

AASTMT will donate the participatory approach to provide every effort to work with logistics stakeholders to co-create at least one innovation/training initiative based on the use of advanced driving simulators. The co-design process will consist of three steps: analyzing Egyptian Global Logistics Company's innovation needs, defining innovation goals (Company and College), and designing innovation strategies (Company and College). A thematic pilot action to test and validate the proposed innovation initiative will also be also be considered.

Toward a Green and Sustainable Future Schools Initiative 

According to the vision of AASTMT in raising new generations who   know the importance of sustainability. Trough public Involvement by the child involvement, 7 schools from Alexandria participated in the initiative, this initiative started in Sep. 2022. In Aby-Qir Campus. This initiative is the first from its kind among Egyptian schools and universities. This initiative seeks to spread the awareness of the sustainable development among each child in these schools.

AASTMT and NCUK establish a study center in AASTMT in line with the international Standards which will allow students to have the right to enroll in educational programs offered by British Universities.

AASTMT and Bibliotheca of Alexandria Co-operation

This agreement was signed to enhance discussion and exchange of experiences in areas of mutual experiences. Bibliotheca of Alexandria playing a vital role in raising awareness towards human rights and child rights such as decreasing child abuse through different workshops, initiatives and conferences. BA is available for each citizen inside and outside Egypt so not only AASTMT students will benefit from this agreement but also AASTMT employees too.

The Fifth Session of AASTMT, entitled "The Academic Vision for Dealing with Cyber Space," was headed by the President of AASTMT and overseen by the Egyptian government, represented by an Al-Azhar official. Addressing the potential and difficulties brought about by the digital age was the main goal of this session.

AASTMT and President of Aswan University meeting

Finding opportunities for collaboration in areas of shared interest was the main goal of the meeting between the AASTMT and the president of Aswan University. In order to increase AASTMT's involvement in Aswan University's programs and activities, both presidents underlined the value of cooperation. In order to benefit the institutions and their communities, this cooperation seeks to promote academic and research excellence.

Promoting the Role of Youth as Active Change-Makers in Addressing Climate Change in Egypt Through Education” Uni-Green Project

Uni-Green promotes youth participation in climate change mitigation through an engaging multi stakeholder (universities, the private sector, community-based organizations, and government) process that enables collaboration among key stakeholders in the climate change space. Uni- Green aims to enlarge youth participation in addressing climate change by supporting youth led innovative entrepreneurial solutions with technical and financial support. The project enables interested youth to communicate alternatives and recommendations in a drafted policy paper on the role of youth in tackling climate change through community-based learning.

Digital Transformation Role in Training and Education Improvement

AASTMT with the co-operation of its external industrial stakeholders -in the AASTMT new Campus in New Alamein- with the attendance of Marsa Matrouh Governor under the name of “Digital Transformation”. AASTMT has signed many different memorandums of understanding with different industrial organizations in different fields such as EPROM, ASPEC, PEINSO and Nile Sat.
