This course will provide students with practical skills on how to produce programs for Radio and Podcasts. The course is updated with focus on digital era and the impact of podcasts and digital radio, including multi-platform delivery, social media and radio stations new business models to accommodate the rapid changes in listener expectations within the media and communications industry.

Objectives

  • Throughout the course, students will examine the key roles in audio and podcasting: announcing, presenting, research, copywriting, producing, marketing and promotions. Also, they will understand the legal and regulatory constraints for radio and podcasts production,and who is involved in creating different types of programs such as news, music, comedy and features, podcasts.
