Yasmine Ahmed Abdel Aziz Hassan

Student at the College of Language and Communication - Heliopolis

One of the prestigious models of the Academy that we are proud of is Yasmin Ahmed Abdul Aziz Hassan, a first-year student at the  College of Language and Communication - Heliopolis. She is a member of the Egyptian national swimming team for intellectually disabled athletes, affiliated with the Egyptian Union for Intellectual Disabilities. She is a world champion who participated in the World Games Championship in Vichy, France, in June 2023, achieving advanced positions (7th, 9th, 11th, and 14th globally). She is the only girl with Down Syndrome on the Egyptian national team. She is an ambassador for the International Federation for Intellectual Disabilities (Virtus) and a United Nations ambassador for the global initiative Generation Unlimited in Egypt. She speaks three languages and had the honor of representing her colleagues at the "Capable with Differences" celebration, attended by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, where she spoke before him in Arabic, English, and German. She represented Egypt in the Regional Special Olympics held in Abu Dhabi in 2018 and won three gold medals. She is a member of the Leadership Inputs Council and a team captain and health representative at the Egyptian Special Olympics.
