Analyze the supply chain problems to find and adopt innovative solution for sustainability through green and reverse logistics practices 4. apply techniques to measure performance of RL and green practices using sustainability key performance indicators 5. Formulate strategies to integrate sustainable supply chain trends with innovative sustainable performance solutions 6. Interpret the figures and performance indicators in sustainable supply chain and logistics at the national and international level 7. Adopt leadership skills and teamwork in different cultures in the national and international community

Objectives

  • This course is divided into two parts to deliver sustainable supply chain management concept. The first part of the course aims to provide students with fundamental of green supply chain management in industrial and service organizations. It presents for the students how the industrial and service organizations can migrate their processes from traditional to green supply chain. Also, it gives the students, the opportunities to understand international environmental management standard such as ISO 14001, and legislations and policies that concern with green practices. The second part of the course aims to provide students with broad knowledge and aspects of reverse logistics in industrial and service organizations. It provides the basis for students to understand the components of reverse logistics system in terms of return policies, transporting and warehousing and product recovery strategies like repairing, recycling, remanufacturing and disposition strategies.
