Description

The course aim is to cover theoretical and practical aspects of accounting and its evolving role in business. This course introduces students to accounting its definition, its objectives and its functions. It tackles financial records and external reports and the financial position. It introduces the accounting equation and types of financial transaction. Topics include recording, processing and correcting financial transactions. It specifies the various accounting information. It states methods of preparing the final accounts. Also, topics include accounting for fixed assets, accounting for current assets, accounting for liabilities and accounting for owner's equity. This course allows students to prepare financial statements and deal with budget and realize the merchandising operation.
