Description

This course is designed to orient the students with the specifications of international logistics. It provides them with the topics used in the field. It also combines reading and writing skills through a comprehensive, systematic and engaging process, designed to integrate them effectively. The exercises provided in the book aim at developing the students’ vocabulary pertaining to their respective field.

Objectives

  • • Develop the vocabulary of students in their field of specialization; Logistics. • Help students in understanding the reading texts. • Improve the student’s reading skills i.e. skimming, scanning, inferring. • Students’ comprehension is monitored through answering questions relevant to what they have read. • Students will practice the language functions commonly used in English. • Student’s ability to communicate information with their peers will also be enhanced. • Emphasis will also be given to the activities used aim at teaching, testing, and understanding concepts using lexical and cohesive devices, deducing contextual meaning of lexical items, besides improving their ability to manipulate grammatical structures.
